Meanwhile, DeQuincy never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on East Beauregard with a sharp 9-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Maddie Vinatieri made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Bryah LeDay was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Audi Flower, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
