Basketball Recap: Treasure Coast Starts Season with Win Against South Fork

Treasure Coast took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They strolled past the South Fork Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 78-62. The Titans pushed the score to 65-45 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Treasure Coast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reniah Flynn, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 boards. Flynn has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Alexis, who shot 53% from the field en route to 20 points and five steals.

South Fork's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khloe Rodgers, who posted 28 points along with six assists and three steals. Vivianna Morales was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and five blocks.

Coming up, Treasure Coast will be playing at home against Port St. Lucie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Fork, they will head out on the road to face off against Eau Gallie at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
