Basketball Recap: Melba Gets the Win

Melba won the last time they faced Baker and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Melba Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Baker Bulldogs, sneaking past 48-45.

Melba's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Baker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Melba won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Melba has won three straight at home, while New Plymouth won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Baker, they will host La Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
