Softball Recap: Bessemer City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Huffman on Monday, Bessemer City came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights on Thursday, falling 14-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-6 loss two weeks ago.

Bessemer City's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Bessemer City and Tuscaloosa Academy are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will head out to take on McAdory at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Aliceville at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
