Volleyball Recap: Hollister Takes a Loss

Hollister managed to slip by Carmel the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Haybalers lost 3-0 to the Padres on Thursday. The Haybalers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Padres earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Hollister was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Hollister has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. As for Carmel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hollister will square off against rival Alisal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carmel is set to take on their familiar foe Salinas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
