Basketball Game Preview: Montcalm Generals vs. Sherman Tide

Montcalm hasn't had much luck against Sherman recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Montcalm Generals will head out on the road to take on the Sherman Tide at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sherman will be up against a hot Montcalm team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Montcalm blew past Richwood 67-31 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Sherman hadn't done well against Man recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Sherman blew past Man 67-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tide.

Montcalm pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Sherman, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Montcalm came up short against Sherman in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 30-26. Can Montcalm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
