Softball Recap: Curry Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Curry entered their tilt with Haleyville on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Lions 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 19 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Curry got a great performance from CC Moore as she pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Moore has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Curry let Ansley Brown and Ralee Dunagan run wild. Brown went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases and four runs, while Dunagan went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Madie Gross, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Curry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.

Curry's record now sits at 29-14-1. As for Haleyville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Curry beat Haleyville by a score of 12-1 later that day.
