Burns dropped their record down to 17-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Grimsley Whirlies by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Grimsley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-4. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

For Grimsley's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tai Richmond, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Burns didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-1 victory against Trinity on the 16th. As for Grimsley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-4 win against Ashley on the 16th.
