Metro - Pacific recap November 5, 2013

Mater Dei Catholic moved up to 492 from 531 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Metro - Pacific. The Crusaders were able to move up by besting Montgomery 42-14.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Sweetwater beat Castle Park 28-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Red Devils.

The Trojans' dynamic duo of Jordan Danielson and Feliepe Liborio proved tough for Sweetwater to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Danielson threw for 68 yards and 1 touchdown and Liborio had 68 yards receiving.

Antonio Garcia was a passing and rushing force as Brian Hay's team defeated Castle Park.

Garcia was a force in the backfield as the Red Devils topped Hans Graham's team.

Mater Dei Catholic's Marco Morales and Evan Bebee have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Morales has thrown for 555 yards this season, while Bebee has 17 catches for 272 yards. Garcia from Sweetwater leads the league in rushing with 910 yards.

The top two teams in Metro - Pacific will face off this week when first place Sweetwater takes on second place Montgomery. The Red Devils defeated the Trojans last week, while the Aztecs fell to John Joyner's team.

Sweetwater's Garcia is a mere 90 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Garcia has rushed for 910 yards on 101 carries so far this year.

Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Crusaders' Bebee goes up against Castle Park's Mylik Steen.

Next week's game between Mater Dei Catholic and the Trojans will feature an aerial matchup as Morales tests his arm against Steen's defensive ability.

Ted Jarumayan's team lost to the Crusaders 42-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
