Recap: Saint Andrew's Scots vs. Somerset Prep
The Saint Andrew's Scots and Somerset Prep squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Saint Andrew's Scots had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the on the road and fell 83-28. While losing is never fun, Saint Andrew's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Somerset Prep is ranked 17th).
Several Scots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayley Rieland, who scored five points.
Saint Andrew's struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Saint Andrew's has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Somerset Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
Saint Andrew's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Somerset Prep also has no future games currently scheduled.
