Basketball Game Preview: Hercules Titans vs. Richmond Oilers

Hercules is on a three-game streak of home losses, Richmond a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Hercules Titans will host the Richmond Oilers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hercules lost 72-50 to El Cerrito on Friday.

Meanwhile, Richmond had to suffer through a 74-32 loss at the hands of Swett. While losing is never fun, the Oilers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1348th, while the Warriors are ranked 584th).

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hercules, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Everything came up roses for Hercules against Richmond in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 75-24 victory. Does Hercules have another victory up their sleeve, or will Richmond turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
