Basketball Recap: Harper Whitworth's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mascoutah over Waterloo

Mascoutah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 61-43 to the Waterloo Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly 18 points.

Mascoutah lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Harper Whitworth, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Riley Fazenbaker, who posted 13 points.

Mascoutah's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Waterloo, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-17.

Mascoutah will be playing in front of their home fans against Civic Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waterloo, they will venture away from home to challenge Gibault Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
