Westwood won the last time they faced John Carroll Catholic and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Westwood Panthers enjoyed a cozy  61-45 victory over the John Carroll Catholic Rams. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Panthers.
 Westwood got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Alex Jean out in front who  posted 18  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joseph Weathers, who  put up 13 points.
 John Carroll Catholic's loss  came despite strong showings from  Micah Coleman and  KJ Davis.  Coleman  had eight  points, while  Davis  earned five points. That's the most  points  Coleman has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Brandon James, who  posted seven points.
Westwood has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.8 points per game. As for John Carroll Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood will head out to  challenge Jupiter  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Jupiter will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Westwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will head out on the road to  take on  Central  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
