Mancos hadn't done well against Dove Creek recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bluejays were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluejays.

One reason for the win was Mancos' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.

Destiny Kramer paced Mancos' offense, picking up ten kills. Kramer got some help from Tymbri Priestley and her 24 assists.

The win got Mancos back to even at 7-7. As for Dove Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Mancos will challenge Dolores at 6:30 p.m. on October 2. As for Dove Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Norwood on the 26th.
