Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Good Counsel Falls Short Against Ranked Elizabeth Seton

On Monday, Our Lady of Good Counsel faced Elizabeth Seton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons took a 72-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elizabeth Seton. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Elizabeth Seton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Our Lady of Good Counsel has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Elizabeth Seton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Our Lady of Good Counsel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-18 win against Archbishop Carroll on the 4th. As for Elizabeth Seton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-43 loss against Bishop McNamara on the 7th.
