Basketball Game Preview: Columbiana Clippers vs. Lowellville Rockets

Having just played yesterday, the Columbiana Clippers will get right back to it and host the Lowellville Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Columbiana has five straight victories, Lowellville has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Columbiana proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 24) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Valley Christian 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Clippers have posted since December 15, 2023.

Meanwhile, Lowellville didn't have quite enough to beat Western Reserve on Tuesday and fell 71-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (67), the Rockets still had to take the loss.

Lowellville's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Columbiana, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
