Football Recap: Dover Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dover extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. The game between the Senators and the Cape Henlopen Vikings didn't end well, with the Senators falling 47-28. The Senators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

As for Cape Henlopen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of Cape Henlopen's victory came down to the chemistry between Jameson Tingle and his top target Lamar McCoy. Tingle rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on only five carries while McCoy picked up 66 receiving yards and three scores. Tingle's passing game has become a key predictor of Cape Henlopen's success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
