It's playoff time, and Liberty had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pleasant Hill Wolves 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.
Chandler John spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camdyn Ormond, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Claire Obert was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Pleasant Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
Coming up, Liberty will face off against Delavan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
