Soccer Recap: Rich Township Takes a Loss

Rich Township and Thornton pushed the score to 7-1 the last time they played Thornton, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Raptors fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Thornton this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for Rich Township and nudges their season record down to 7-10. As for Thornton, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6-1.

Coincidentally, Rich Township and Thornton will both be playing Bloom the next time they take the pitch. The Wildcats will head out to face the Blazing Trojan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Raptors will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
