Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Mary Prep). They strolled past the Circle Christian Centurions with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 85-68. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-50 on January 10th.

Circle Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lucas Valdes, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Valdes has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joel Velazquez, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Lake Mary Prep, bringing their record for this year to 13-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Circle Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
