            Baseball Recap: Frederick Gunn Highlanders vs. Salisbury School Crimson Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Frederick Gunn had lost seven straight on the road, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 4-12 to make it eight. They took  a  4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salisbury School Crimson Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crimson Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  9-1  on Wednesday.
 Frederick Gunn saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Miles Perez, who  went 1-for-4 with one  run and one  double. That  double marked the first that  Perez has  hit this season.
As for Salisbury School, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.2 runs over those games.
On Salisbury School's side,  Matt Chirumbolo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on six hits and racked up nine Ks. Chirumbolo has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Thomas O'Connell was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Frederick Gunn is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Cheshire Academy  at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Salisbury School will  face off against  rival Pomfret School  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
