Sayre entered their tilt with Bryan Station on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Defenders by a score of 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 on Tuesday.

Pierre Kauffman looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Sayre's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reed Beatty, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was Beatty's first of the season.

Sayre's record now sits at 22-3. As for Bryan Station, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
