Football Recap: Pittsville Takes a Loss

Pittsville lost against Spencer/Columbus back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers lost to the Rockets on the road by a 49-34 margin.

Pittsville dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Spencer/Columbus, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Pittsville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Spencer/Columbus, they will head out on the road to square off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Rockets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
