Soccer Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jacksonville last Thursday, Douglas came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 4-2 to the Southside Panthers on Friday. The loss continues a trend for Douglas in their meetings with Southside: they've now lost seven in a row.

Josue Juarez and Brian Conriquez scored both of Douglas' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Southside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Douglas will face off against Crossville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southside, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Mountain Brook on the 5th.
