Volleyball Recap: Leading Edge Academy - GEC Takes a Loss

The Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans lost 3-0 to the Seton Catholic Sentinels on Friday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12, 25-11.

Cory VanNiekerk paced Leading Edge Academy - GEC's offense, picking up eight kills. VanNiekerk got some help from Evan Bouman and his six assists. Finally, Annaniah Stodola kept Leading Edge Academy - GEC's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Seton Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leading Edge Academy - GEC will venture away from home to square off against Benjamin Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seton Catholic, they will head out to challenge ALA - Ironwood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
