Softball Recap: West Field Triumphs

The West Field Longhorns beat the Syracuse Titans 11-6 on Monday.

Brinklee Hadley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kam Bell, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Rylee Andreasen was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

West Field always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Syracuse only posted an OBP of .400.

West Field's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Syracuse, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Coincidentally, West Field and Syracuse will both be playing Logan the next time they take the field. West Field will head out to face Logan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Syracuse will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
