Softball Recap: Norwood Wins Going Away Against Holliston

Norwood got themselves on the board against Holliston on Monday, but Holliston never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 9-0. The Mustangs have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Maureen Larkee, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Lizzy Helmar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Norwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Norwood now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Holliston, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Norwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-5 victory against Medfield on the 13th. As for Holliston, they have also already played their next matchup, a 13-0 loss against Dedham on the 14th.
