Baseball Recap: Phillips Exeter Academy Takes a Loss

Phillips Exeter Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Phillips Academy on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Big Blue. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Big Blue this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-2 defeat on May 3rd.

Phillips Exeter Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Phillips Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14.

As of now, neither Phillips Exeter Academy nor the Big Blue have any future games scheduled.
