Football Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Franklin County extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were outmatched by the Columbia Central Lions and fell 44-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Rebels were not able to get on the board.

As for Columbia Central, the win got them back to even at 3-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

It was another big night for Daniel Booker, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 81 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. He is becoming a predictor of Columbia Central's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Camron Bridges was in the mix too, providing the Lions with one score.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County will host Lawrence County on the 17th. As for Columbia Central, after each having a week off, they and Lincoln County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
