Basketball Recap: Lake Placid Falls Short of Moriah in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake Placid can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Moriah Vikings and fell 80-30. The Bombers just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Cooper Allen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 13 boards for Moriah. The game was Allen's 27th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Whitman, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Lake Placid's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Moriah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Lake Placid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Moriah, they will face off against Ticonderoga at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Moriah's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
