River Valley barely beat ALA - West Foothills the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dust Devils blew past the Guardians 15-9 on Monday. Considering the Dust Devils have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Morgan MacDonald and Lovie Phan did most of the damage at the plate: MacDonald went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Phan went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Chastiny Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: River Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 18 consecutive games.

River Valley is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for ALA - West Foothills, they moved to 15-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither River Valley nor the Guardians have any future games scheduled.
