North Johnston put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Franklin Academy Patriots 49-29. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Amiyah Grimes was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points along with six assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Sheetz, who posted seven points and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Franklin Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bella DeLiso scored eight points and three steals. Iliana Rodriguez was another key player, earning seven points and nine rebounds.

North Johnston pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.4 points per game. As for Franklin Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

North Johnston will challenge Beddingfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Johnston's defense has only allowed 24.6 points per game this season, so Beddingfield's offense will have their work cut out for them.
