Soccer Game Preview: Danville vs. Centerpoint

The Danville Little Johns will face off against the Centerpoint Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Danville has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Danville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Greenbrier on Tuesday. They lost 6-1 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Danville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Greenbrier are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Centerpoint, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Subiaco Academy get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday.

Centerpoint is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. As for Danville, they now have a losing record of 4-5-3.
