Ethan McCune posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Glen Rose is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 10-12 otherwise.

Looking ahead, McCune and Glen Rose will be playing at home against Brownwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coming in off a loss to Brock in their last outing, the Lions are looking for some redemption.
