Volleyball Recap: Dixon Falls to New Bern in First Game of Season

Dixon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the New Bern Bears on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Dixon ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

New Bern was led to victory by Gabrielle Pidgeon and Allie Tuzo. Pidgeon had 11 digs and four aces, while Tuzo had nine digs and three aces.

Coming up, Dixon is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on White Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Bern, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Ashley at 6:00 p.m.
