Recap: Delta Bobcats vs. Saxony Lutheran Crusaders
The Delta Bobcats lost against the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Delta was dealt a 93-41 loss at the hands of Saxony Lutheran. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delta has scored all season.
Saxony Lutheran had a senior duo take command as Luke Eggemeyer dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds and John Hartmann scored 29 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Eggemeyer has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Bucheit, who scored 11 points.
Delta's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-7. As for Saxony Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. As for Saxony Lutheran, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kelly at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Kelly is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
