Basketball Recap: Ponderosa Mustangs vs. Fort Collins Lambkins
Ponderosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 83-54 loss at the hands of the Fort Collins Lambkins. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

Despite the loss, Ponderosa saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jenni Sorvillo went 9 of 18 to rack up 24 points and six assists. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Collins to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Alcaraz, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 21 points. Molly Keough also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Ponderosa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Fort Collins, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-10.
