Basketball Recap: Rossford Takes a Loss

Rossford lost against Genoa Area back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rossford Bulldogs came up short against the Genoa Area Comets, falling 65-40. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Comets are ranked 120th).

This is the second loss in a row for Rossford and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Genoa Area, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Rossford will venture away from home to square off against Waite at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rossford is facing Waite at the right time seeing as Waite is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Genoa Area, they will be home for the holidays to greet Start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Start has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 227 points over their last three contests.
