Basketball Recap: Marist Starts off Right with Win over Longwood

Marist took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Longwood Panthers 82-22. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-7.

Marist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Lawlor, who posted six points and four steals. Stephen Brown was another key player, putting up eight points.

Coincidentally, Marist and Longwood will both be playing Christian Fenger Academy the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the RedHawks will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
