Volleyball Game Preview: Eastlake Wolves vs. Cedarcrest Red Wolves

The Eastlake Wolves will square off against the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cedarcrest took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastlake, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Eastlake and Lake Washington, and Eastlake kept the tradition alive. The Wolves came out on top against the Kangaroos by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Kangaroos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Eastlake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

Eastlake relied on the efforts of Kyra Kanai, who had 13 assists and three digs, and Olivia DeAmicis, who had 17 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Kanai has posted over her last six matches. Anna Murphy also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Cedarcrest lost 3-0 to Woodinville on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Cedarcrest dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Eastlake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11-1.
