Basketball Recap: Sadey Hughbanks' Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Palestine over Roncalli

New Palestine lost against Roncalli back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The New Palestine Dragons took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roncalli Royals. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadey Hughbanks, who posted eight points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Moore, who earned nine points.

Roncalli got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sara Rosko out in front who put up 14 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Rosko a new career-high. Elliot Leffler was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

New Palestine now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Roncalli, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.

New Palestine has already played their next matchup (against Waldron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Roncalli will challenge Triton Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
