Volleyball Recap: Anselmo-Merna Gets the Win

The Anselmo-Merna Coyotes beat the Bertrand Vikings 2-0 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Rhianen Myers paced Anselmo-Merna's offense, picking up six kills. Myers got some help from Lily Thornton and her 13 assists. Thornton and Myers didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Anselmo-Merna's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Bertrand, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

Anselmo-Merna has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hay Springs on the 11th. As for Bertrand, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Medicine Valley on the 11th.
