Baseball Recap: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Gets the Win

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Belleville East Lancers.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy got a big performance out of Joey Shafer, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Murphy, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

The win got Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Belleville East, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy will host Collinsville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Belleville East, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Granite City at 4:30 p.m. Belleville East is facing Granite City at the right time seeing as Granite City is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
