Tennessee high school football rankings: McCallie jumps to No. 2 in Volunteer State Top 25

William Riddle toss four TDs in Blue Tornado win; Oakland, Lipscomb Academy make big moves inside the Top 10.

McCallie made a big jump to No. 2 in this week's MaxPreps Tennessee Top 25 high school football computer rankings after its 33-14 win over former No. 8 Baylor. William Riddle tossed four touchdowns passes in the first half at the Blue Tornado improved to 6-1.

McCallie vaulted past Maryville (7-0) into the second spot and now has bye before facing Father Ryan on Oct. 16.

After its bye, No. 1 Brentwood Academy (7-0) recorded a 27-21 win over Knoxville Catholic and is schedule to host Montgomery Bell Academy (3-1) on Friday night.

Two other teams made big climbs to move into the Top 10 in No. 5 Oakland (Murfreesboro) and No. 8 Lipscomb Academy (Nashville), both recording shutout victories last week.



Oakland moved up 13 spots after defeating Brentwood 37-0, while Lipscomb Academy jumped 14 places following a 42-0 victory over Briarcrest Christian.

Maryville had little trouble with a 35-0 win at Fulton and now travels to 5-1 Bradley Central on Thursday.
