The Laney Buccaneers will challenge the Ashley Screaming Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Laney is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Ashley will be up against a hot Laney squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Buccaneers never let North Brunswick get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Thursday. Given Laney's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while North Brunswick are ranked 310th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Laney's offense was hitting North Brunswick from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Henry Tidey led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Ashley entered their match against Hoggard on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Screaming Eagle fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Ashley couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ashley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-3. As for Laney, their win bumped their record up to 15-2-1.
