Baseball Recap: Beacon Makes It Four in a Row at Home

The Beacon Blue Demons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Tigers on Tuesday.

Beacon got a great performance from Cooper Delabarre as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jagger Bruch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luca Bean, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Beacon pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Beacon and Architecture, Engineering and Construction will both be playing Newtown the next time they take the field. The Blue Demons will host the Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
