Valor College Prep had won 16 straight games dating back to last season and Marley Maestas did her part to make it 17 on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the St. John Paul II Falcons thanks in part to Maestas, who had 15 digs and four aces. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Valor College Prep's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for St. John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Valor College Prep and St. John Paul II will both be playing Chelsea the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
