Amherst came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Rosholt Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-19.

Ivy Boelk paced Amherst's offense, picking up ten kills. Boelk got some help from Kinzee Martin and her 18 assists. Hollie Singer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Amherst's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rosholt, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Amherst will take on Denmark in a tournament on Saturday. As for Rosholt, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lomira at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
