Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Eagles vs. Cerritos Dons

For the second straight game, Glenn will face off against Cerritos. The Eagles will face off against the Dons at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Glenn came up short against Cerritos and fell 4-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Cerritos' part, Frank Melendrez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braxton Reed, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Cerritos: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-9 otherwise.

Cerritos pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
