Softball Recap: Hooks Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hooks). Everything went their way against the Longview Lobos on Friday as the Hooks Hornets made off with a 12-6 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hornets have posted since April 27, 2024.

The win (which was Hooks' third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Longview, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Hooks will take on Jefferson in a tournament on Saturday. As for Longview, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against New Diana on the 28th.
